Here to support
your healing, growth
and wellbeing.
My journey and lived experience
Hi, I’m Whitney, a psychotherapist based on the Northern Beaches, offering online counselling across Australia. I hold a Master of Counselling and am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
My work is grounded in a deep respect for each person’s unique story and inner world. I bring a compassionate, person-centred approach, shaped by both professional training and lived experience of anxiety and burnout, from my former career in the film and advertising industry, as well as the complexities that can arise when navigating life changes and challenges, and neurodiversity.
As a mother of neurodivergent children, I understand firsthand the complexities, advocacy, and emotional load this journey can carry, and I integrate that lived awareness into how I support my clients.
I am passionate about supporting individuals, adults, and adolescents in developing self-awareness, understanding and self-compassion to build resilience and growth in a gentler, more grounded way. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen, heard, understood, and supported.
How I support you
I understand how overwhelming life can feel, and you don’t have to meet those moments alone. My approach is strength-based and collaborative, tailoring each session so you feel empowered, grounded, and supported. Together, we’ll work towards clarity, emotional balance, resilience, and an overall sense of wellbeing.
It would be an honour to walk beside you on your healing journey.
The Oak Tree
by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr
A mighty wind blew night and day
It stole the oak tree’s leaves away
Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark
Until the oak was tired and stark
But still the oak tree held its ground
While other trees fell all around
The weary wind gave up and spoke.
How can you still be standing Oak?
The oak tree said, I know that you
Can break each branch of mine in two
Carry every leaf away
Shake my limbs, and make me sway
But I have roots stretched in the earth
Growing stronger since my birth
You’ll never touch them, for you see
They are the deepest part of me
Until today, I wasn’t sure
Of just how much I could endure
But now I’ve found, with thanks to you
I’m stronger than I ever knew
