How I support you.

My Approach

A supportive, transparent space to explore what feels right for you.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply person-centred. I create a space that feels safe and supportive — a place where you can explore your story at your own pace and feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

Each session is tailored to your needs, drawing on evidence-based therapies such as ACT, CBT, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and psychoeducation. My holistic approach meets you where you are, helping you build self-awareness, emotional clarity, balance, and resilience so you can move through life with greater ease and authenticity.

Together, we uncover practical, real-life strategies that genuinely fit who you are — tools that feel natural and supportive in your everyday life.

When life feels heavy, overwhelming, or stuck in worry, having a compassionate space to pause, reflect, and breathe can bring the clarity and confidence you need to move forward.

If you feel you need support, please reach out. It would be an honour to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

What it is

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a modern, evidence-based approach designed to help you stop struggling with difficult thoughts and emotions, and instead learn how to respond to them with openness, clarity, and compassion. ACT teaches you how to accept what you cannot control, stay present in the moment, and make choices that align with your deepest values.

  • ACT is especially supportive if you experience anxiety, stress, burnout, or feel stuck in unhelpful patterns. It helps you:

    • Reduce the power of anxious or intrusive thoughts

    • Build psychological flexibility

    • Strengthen your sense of purpose and values

    • Create healthier coping strategies

    • Move through challenges with more ease and clarity

  • We explore what matters to you, gently unpack emotional challenges, and build tools to help you respond—rather than react—to difficult experiences. You’ll learn grounding practices, mindfulness skills, and practical strategies to bring more ease and meaning into your everyday life.

Cognitive Behavourial Therapy (CBT)

What it is

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a structured, evidence-based psychological approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps individuals identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that may be contributing to emotional distress, and supports the development of more balanced, constructive ways of responding to life’s challenges.

  • CBT can support you to:

    • Reduce worry, stress, and anxiety

    • Challenge self-critical thoughts

    • Improve mood and motivation

    • Break cycles of rumination

    • Develop healthier, more supportive habits

  • We work together to notice thinking patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You’ll learn tools to create more balanced thoughts, build confidence, and take small steps that lead to meaningful change over time.

Mindfulness

What it is

Mindfulness encourages awareness of your inner world with curiosity and kindness. It brings you back to the present moment, helping you regulate emotions and feel more grounded in your body and mind.

  • Mindfulness is deeply supportive for:

    • Anxiety and worry loops

    • Burnout and emotional overwhelm

    • Stress and nervous system dysregulation

    • Feeling disconnected or “on autopilot”

    It helps you:

    • Calm your mind and body

    • Build emotional regulation

    • Respond rather than react

    • Develop greater self-compassion

  • We may explore grounding exercises, breathwork, or gentle guided awareness. Practices are always offered softly and at your pace—no expectations, no pressure—just spaciousness and support.

Somatic Experiencing

What it is

Somatic therapy focuses on how stress, trauma, and emotions live in the body. It helps you notice physical sensations, tension patterns, and nervous system responses so you can regulate more effectively and feel safer within yourself.

  • How It Helps
    Somatic approaches support you to:

    • Reduce chronic tension and overwhelm

    • Understand your nervous system

    • Move through fight/flight/freeze patterns

    • Build emotional resilience

    • Experience grounding and safety in the body

  • We work gently with sensations, pacing everything slowly and safely. You may be invited to notice breath, posture, grounding points, or subtle internal shifts. You always choose the pace, and nothing is ever forced.

Psychoeducation

What it is

Psychoeducation provides insights into the emotional, cognitive, or neurological patterns influencing your wellbeing. Understanding why you think or feel a certain way can be incredibly validating and reduces shame or confusion.

  • Psychoeducation can help you:

    • Understand anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional patterns

    • Learn how the brain and nervous system work

    • Explore neurodivergence (ADHD, dyslexia, etc.)

    • Build healthier coping strategies

    • Feel more informed, confident, and grounded

  • We explore concepts that relate to your experiences—like stress cycles, emotional regulation, ADHD traits, or nervous system states. Information is shared gently and conversationally, always with the intention of supporting your self-understanding and sense of empowerment.

Let’s take the next step together.
